Hi, I'm Andrew Martin, an excitable freelance front-end web developer. I live with an intense passion for web development.
For as long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with learning about the latest and greatest in web development.
Most days, I'm digging into a React.js web app, setting up a Rails API, or marking up an elegant interface. I also play nicely with Node.js, Angular.js, Ember, and find it absolutely esssential to work with build tools like Webpack and Parcel. I love communicating; I answer most e-mails within a few minutes, and idle in Slack all day.
Oh, and if WordPress is your thing, I cut my teeth building WordPress sites for the better part of 8 years.
Plays well with others.
Here are a few Clients I’ve shared the work day with recently.
LyftLyft provides you with a ride whenever you need one.
I am an active member of the Frontend Platform team, working on anything and everything related to their frontend development and marketing efforts for the Lyft web properties in their React.js / Redux and Python stack.
SpotfundSpotfund is a website and an iOS app that makes raising $1-$3 donations far easier than before.
I developed their web application using React.js and Redux, served up by Node.js. I eventually also built their Deploy regimes, advised on build strategies, and assisted in the project management.

I worked alongside their developer team, deeply integrating into their React.js and Redux stack. I also worked with their Node services, connecting to the Contentful API for Content Delivery.
If you build it, they will come.

Here are a few nice things people have said about Andrew Martin.
I'd strongly recommend Andrew if you're looking for a top notch freelance web developer. If the opportunity arose I'd hire him again.Kamyar Mohager, Lyft
I had the pleasure of working with Andrew when I managed the Developer Platform and Global Eng teams at Lyft. During that time, we brought Andrew on to help us with a few web development projects, namely the complete overhaul of www.lyft.com/developers (which was an important portal for partners and developers building on top of the Lyft API).
Andrew was able to quickly get up to speed on Lyft's web dev framework and bring his own React skills into play to lead the rebuild of the site. Throughout the project and beyond, I appreciated Andrew's communication skills and how he continually kept me up-to-date with the progress of the projects he worked on. The combination of strong web development and communication skills made Andrew a joy to work with.
I'd strongly recommend Andrew if you're looking for a top notch freelance web developer. If the opportunity arose I'd hire him again.
How one solves problems is not only reflected in their work but also in who they are as a person. After watching Andrew solve a myriad of problems, it's apparent that he's a great architect and a mensch.
Andrew delivers under deadlines and produces forward leaning code which holds up long after it's initial release. If you're looking for a strong communicator to take the long view on a project, this is your man.
